Sixty full- and part-time staff provide services in both Porcupine Plain and Hudson Bay. The agency’s residential program involves operation of three group homes with sixteen spaces, and nine enhanced supported living spaces. The agency also owns and operates a four-plex apartment building that is available for rent to individuals within POP’s program and local residents in the community. All of the homes are located in Porcupine Plain.  POP’s vocational program involves an active day program and an industrial wood shop in Porcupine Plain, and a day program in Hudson Bay. Porcupine Credit Union was founded in 1946 and, in 2018, it merged with Affinity Credit Union. Affinity is a Saskatchewan-born co-operative financial institution owned by members. We only operate in Saskatchewan. People come before profits and Affinity is dedicated to looking out for your financial health by offering great products, competitive rates and genuine, professional advice. When you deposit money at Affinity, it gets reinvested into your community as loans that other members can use to buy homes, start businesses, get educated, and put other dreams into reach. Affinity members make our profits possible and, for that reason, those profits get reinvested into the community. Because Affinity is a provincial organization, employees can work in many different locations for many different departments. Right here in Porcupine Plain, we have employees that work for five different departments. Affinity has a wide range of employment opportunities, such as member advisors, accounting, wealth, HR, IT and facilities, to name a few.  Our table will have a few current employees who can tell you all about what working at ACU is like, from hours and wages to pension and benefit plans.
